Renting a car in Jimbaran: what to know
Most bookings from Jimbaran revolve around dinner on the sand. The seafood warungs fill from half past five and the best tables at the waterline go first, so we usually leave the villa at five. The other side of Jimbaran is the big clifftop resorts to the south, where the driveways are long and steep — a smaller car is easier there than a Hiace. Uluwatu is only half an hour away, which is why pairing the afternoon temple with dinner here is the route that makes most sense.

If you are at a bayfront resort, give us its name — several have their own gate well off the main road. For dinner on the sand, the driver drops you by the warungs and parks further back.
