Renting a car in Kuta: what to know
Kuta is the most common first-night pickup, because a lot of guests come straight here after landing. Ten minutes from the terminal, queue to exit the airport included. What needs planning is the other direction: the road out of Kuta towards Denpasar is heavy from four in the afternoon, so if the day involves Ubud or Kintamani we leave early. For a departing flight, thirty minutes from hotel to terminal is enough in normal traffic, though we still allow an hour for an afternoon slot.
