Renting a car in Uluwatu: what to know
Uluwatu is far from everything, and that shapes how we work here more than anything else. Because driving back south and up again costs over an hour, the driver usually waits on site until you are done rather than shuttling. The day is almost always timed backwards from the Kecak performance, which starts at sunset. The villas sit at the ends of steep lanes with names that resemble one another, so a dropped pin is far more useful than a villa name.
